Electrician Job Description
Overview
An electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. This includes wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, switches and other components of an electrical system. Electricians may also be tasked with inspecting existing electrical systems to ensure they are up to code and safe for use. Additionally, electricians may install new lighting fixtures or appliances such as air conditioners or refrigerators in homes or businesses. They must also comply with all local building codes when working on any project involving electricity.
