Law Enforcement Officer Job Description
Overview
A Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) is a public-sector employee whose duties primarily involve the enforcement of laws. Their role is to maintain law and order and implement the regulation of law in society. Their responsibilities include arresting lawbreakers or criminal prosecution, processing criminals, protecting the life and property of civilians, preparing written reports, patrol activities, testifying in court, responding to calls and emergency service, conducting preliminary and follow-up criminal and traffic investigations, and conducting interviews.
