Medical Assistant Job Description
Overview
A Medical Assistant is an allied health professional who supports the work of physicians and doctors. Their role is to obtain and record patient medical histories, test results and gather other information for medical records. Their responsibilities are coordinating the daily administrative activities and patient medical record maintenance, preparing healing rooms, assisting practitioners with medical procedures, delivering compassionate support, ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, and preparing and administering medications.
