Referee Job Description
Overview
A Referee officiates games or competitions. Their role is to interpret and enforce rules, assess penalties, signal the start and end of games, stop play for reviews as needed, and inspect sports equipment before the start of games. Their responsibilities are to explain rules as needed, ensure that all participants understand the rules, make calls regarding when these rules are broken, and make sure that the rules are being followed by all players.
