Security Guard Job Description
Overview
A Security Guard is responsible for protecting people and property from harm. This can include patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, responding to alarms and incidents, conducting searches, writing reports, controlling access to restricted areas and monitoring the activities of visitors. They may also be required to provide customer service assistance by providing directions or answering questions about a facility’s services or programs. Security Guards must be observant and alert in order to detect any suspicious activity or potential security threats.
