A Tailor constructs, repairs or modifys garments for customers based on their terms, needs and preferences. Their role is to take their client's measurements, assist in fabric selection, and arrange fittings to determine whether additional adjustments are needed. Their responsibilities are discussing design, alteration or repair requirements with customers to ensure that their specifications are met, attaching labels to customer's garments to prevent any errors, altering garments to improve comfort and fit, constructing garments for customers based on their design ideas, specifications and preferences, and providing customers with cost estimates for the development of customized garments.
