I had to do an audit for a learning center with river otters.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><h2><strong>Public Accounting Workload</strong></h2><p>Public accounting does have a busy season or multiple busy seasons. Usually from late January, early February to mid April, you will probably have to work longer hours, I'd say about 50 to 60 hours a week or six days a week. Most firms do offer overtime pay, so it is, they do make it worth your while when you're logging in the extra hours.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><h2><strong>Accounting Requirements</strong></h2><p>Most public accounting firms want their accountants to pursue a CPA license. The CPA exams are a series of exams that are fairly difficult. They do require studying, so that's another thing to consider. So usually on top of&nbsp; your workload and the hours that you're logging in at work, you'll have to think about when you're going to study for this exam.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><h2><strong>More Opportunity</strong></h2><p>Once you do get licensed, I do believe it does open a lot of doors. You could go to a private firm or work for a company depending on your interests and your experience.</p><p><br></p>

Financial analysts are responsible for analyzing financial results and forecasting the future performance of the company. This includes forecasting revenues and expenditures, as well as modeling capital structure and budgeting. Financial analysts are also often responsible for keeping track of a company’s financial plan, analyzing performance of the company, alongside changes in market trends, that helps the analyst create forecasts, but also allows them to calculate variances between those forecasts and actuals.

A Materials Director reports and estimates material quality, movement and expenses in order to manage the placement of material quantities.  Their role is to cooperates with other handlers to arrange supply needs, design and control department budgets, and purchase supplies and materials according to specs. Their role is to analyze data from multiple sources, develop complex pricing models, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop sales strategies.  Their responsibilities are analyzing competitor pricing and market trends, tracking customer engagement to develop effective pricing strategies for products and offerings, apply statistical modeling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability, forecasting revenue and market share based on market trends, production costs, profit margins, and sales volumes, developing dynamic pricing tools to effectively respond to changing market needs and trends, preparing and presenting pricing analysis findings to executives, marketing teams, and sales staff, and keeping informed on pricing analysis methods and industry trends.

Regional sales manager oversee a team of salespeople and lead their efforts to get the latest products into local and regional markets. The regional sales manager's responsibility is to recruit and train salespeople, set sales goals, analyze sales data, prepare annual budgets, participate in regional and national sales and marketing meetings, influence the creation of new training materials based on current needs, train sales representatives on new products, participate in ongoing training and education and review performance of their team.

<p dir="ltr">After making very little money and having a lot of education, I decided to go back to school and I went back and got an MBA. When I got an MBA, I went into sales in Wall Street and that began my career in high tech.</p>
<h2 dir="ltr">Career in High Tech:</h2>
<p dir="ltr">So I spent about a dozen years in high tech. I worked on Wall Street for four years in my 20s, then got promoted to come out to California to work at the headquarters in corporate strategy for several years. Then I went back into sales management in San Francisco. I was VP of global alliances for three years. And at that point I managed a billion dollar revenue stream and P&amp;L and about 150 employees worldwide.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Don't be afraid to try new things and try new careers, but the main thing is have fun and have your freedom.</p>

<p dir="ltr">I manage about 32 long-term, couple short-term properties that we invested in roughly 20 years ago. And this allows me the freedom to really work from wherever.</p>

They will also prepare detailed financial reports, analyze budgeting trends, assess risk management strategies and develop cost-saving recommendations. Additionally, they support the development of long-term business plans and provide strategic guidance on potential investments or acquisitions. Senior Financial Analysts are expected to have a deep understanding of industry trends, regulations and accounting standards in order to inform their work.

A Store Associate serves customers to find products that match their budgets or satisfy their needs.  Their role is to assist customers with product selection, cross sell items, take inventory, replenish shelves, and handle customer complaints.  Their responsibilities are to welcome customers, answer questions regarding goods or services sold, maintain a clean and organized storefront, monitor store displays and keep all areas stocked, make managers aware of items that have sold out, handle the monetary transaction of customers making purchases, assist in the stocking and organizing of the stockroom, help customers in the fitting rooms, and properly process returns.
