Engineering managers strategize and oversee engineering projects, and supervise teams in the research and development of products and services. An engineering manager supervises a team of engineers, as well as liaises with other stakeholders that may include production, operations, quality assurance, testing, or maintenance. They are also responsible for estimating the cost, drafting proposals, solving internal team issues, reviewing and approving product design and approving expenditures.

An Intern helps a company with work in order to gain experience and skills in a specific area.  Their role is working closely with different team members to learn more about the company and industry.  Their responsibilities are to perform tasks set out by supervisors, attend meetings and take minutes, perform research at a supervisor's request, update social media platforms, and write copy and create images for social media posts.

A project engineer applies the principles of engineering to all aspects of a technical project.  They do project planning, schedule preparation, people and capital resource forecasting and management, vendor management, budget oversight. A project engineer ensures that projects are completed according to project plans, trains and manages technical team members as necessary, and often is the technical point of contact for the client or other internal stakeholders.

A Project Intern assists the project manager, assistant project manager, superintendent and project engineer in processing information by conducting all clerical duties at the job site.  Their role is to verify that all information has been entered correctly, prepare and process purchase orders from information provided, and transmit the purchase orders to the corporate office or the appropriate contractor.  Their responsibilities are to process reports required by the corporate office, maintain accurate reports and forms, set up and maintain a neat and efficient filing system, maintain the field office, document all field correspondence, and improve their ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

<h2>What it's like as in Project Management</h2><p>One of my favorite pros with Project Management is you get to work with a bunch of different people. Average day or week is really busy as a project manager because you are not only planning meetings with clients, but you're also planning all the internal communication in order to make sure meetings are successful. I found a lot of my time was spent not only doing research for the clients to make sure the project was a success, but also spending a lot of time creating that communication as well as that project management plan in order to show where we are, where we would be, what risks that we have, and again making the remainder of the entire schedule in order to get to get final completion day.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><h2>Job Requirements</h2><p>The job requirements for a project manager is primarily just to be really organized and to also make sure that you are communicating really well, not only with the clients that you have, but also internally. Because really all we're doing is, I would say it's like event planning. We're making sure people are going, people are organized, and again at the end of the day we're having that fantastic wedding, but in this case it's completing the project. Things happen. Risks come up, issues come up, having a project that is 100% successful and goes according to schedule is honestly quite rare. So you have to be prepared to be aware of the unknown and know how to mitigate those risks in order to make sure that everyone's everyone, not only on the client side, but also for management, anyone else that you want to have working with the client.</p><p><br></p><h2>How to Become a Project Manager</h2><p>In order to become one is kind of just getting your foot in the door anywhere and showing that you're able to go see tasks as well as being demanded or asked from you and as long as you can show that organization and drive, that's a great way to continue to move your team up into the project manager. Having your project management professional certification isn't necessarily required for every job, but it definitely opens up a lot of doors so that you can start excelling faster.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

A research analyst is a professional responsible for gathering, analyzing and interpreting data to help make informed decisions. Research analysts are typically employed by businesses, governments or organizations as part of their market research team. Their job is to provide insights into customer behavior and preferences, industry trends, economic conditions and other topics related to the organization’s operations. To do this they must be able to interpret data from surveys, polls and focus groups; analyze existing statistics; create reports; present findings in an understandable format; and recommend solutions based on their analysis.

Senior structural engineers analyze, design, plan, and research structural components and structural systems to achieve design goals and ensure the safety and comfort of users or occupants. Their work takes account mainly of safety, technical, economic and environmental concerns, but they may also consider aesthetic and social factors. Senior structural engineers ensure that buildings and bridges are built to be strong enough and stable enough to resist all appropriate structural loads (e.g., gravity, wind, snow, rain, earthquake, earth pressure, temperature, and traffic) in order to prevent or reduce loss of life or injury. They also design structures to be stiff enough to not deflect or vibrate beyond acceptable limits.

A teaching assistant (TA), or teachers aide, helps a teacher or professor with instructional responsibilities. Teaching assistants are present in all levels of schooling, and teaching assistants who are graduate students often teach classes on their own.  In some cases, teaching assistants may help a teacher during class by supporting students with learning disabilities, such as ADHD, Autism, or even physical disabilities, such as blindness or deafness. They also help teachers prepare lesson plans, track student attendance, and set up necessary material for classes.

This teacher, is creating a fun teaching environment that he didn't get in his early education. It was the inspiration of one of his own teachers who shaped him in to who he is today. This teacher has the profound opportunity to inspire, empower, and shape the future leaders of tomorrow. 

<h2><strong>Why I Choose Teaching</strong></h2><p>I hated school with a passion. Teachers were mean to me. Then junior year of high school, I was in a class, an American history class, and the teacher of that class was also a track coach and ended up loving running and ended up starting to like school because this teacher just brought it alive and was really passionate about it. And I could tell and made me want to learn more and more. So after my junior year, instead of Ds, Cs, Ds and Fs, I was getting As and As, which was wonderful. And I never thought I'd go to college, but I ended up going to junior college to complete, continue running. And then after that, I had all these units and got transfer agreements to a university. And in that university, I ended up finding out that I loved kids and I loved teaching kids and being with kids and watching them learn and grow and just having a good laugh every day. And I just reflected back, said, you know, I'm going to make school fun and exciting for kids in a way that was not for me.</p><p><br></p><h2><strong>Early Career Tips</strong></h2><p>Make sure that you set aside money for retirement every month starting from the beginning, even if it's just a little. I know you don't make as much in the beginning as a veteran long term teacher, but it's really important to be prepared for the end of your career, even though you're just starting. Don't date anyone at work. It's the worst thing. It bites in the butt every time and from personal experience. Ask for help whenever you need it. Make sure that you get in good with your team, your grade level team, and always be nice. The custodian and the staff that work in the office, they work really hard and they pretty much run the school.</p><p><br></p><h2><strong>Teaching Requirements</strong></h2><p>You have to obviously have a bachelor's, some sorts of people now have a master's education and then you have to have a teaching credential program. Most universities have them. You have to get fingerprinted, you have to have TB tests. You have to have to have kind of a general like of children, you know, and kind of just asking for education and wanting to pass on your filters of life and how you see the world onto your own mind and what you need to be seeing.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
