A Bridge Tender is responsible for operating and maintaining a drawbridge or swing bridge. They control the opening and closing of the bridge to allow passing vessels to pass through safely, while also controlling traffic flow over the bridge. The duties of a Bridge Tender may include monitoring river conditions, changing water levels, inspecting mechanical components of bridges, conducting repairs as needed, communicating with other personnel in charge of nearby bridges and vessels in order to coordinate their movements when crossing paths, responding quickly to any changes such as storms that can affect safety on the bridge. Additionally they must adhere to all local laws regarding operation of bridges and patrol areas around the structure looking for potential hazards or security issues.

GIS Consultants are professionals who use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to collect, analyze, and manage spatial data. They also develop custom applications that integrate GIS into the organization’s existing systems. Additionally they provide training on how to effectively use GIS in an organization as well as advice on best practices for managing spatial data.

An Intern helps a company with work in order to gain experience and skills in a specific area.  Their role is working closely with different team members to learn more about the company and industry.  Their responsibilities are to perform tasks set out by supervisors, attend meetings and take minutes, perform research at a supervisor's request, update social media platforms, and write copy and create images for social media posts.
