Anchor Job Description
Overview
The Anchor is a broadcast news journalist that engages with viewers on a daily television news show. Their role is to inform the public on news of the day, and manage the viewer experience until the end of the broadcast. Their responsibilities are to present stories on radio and television news broadcasts, introduce reporter's videotaped and live reports, analyze and select stories, interview guests, gather information, broadcast newscasts throughout the day, and research local community, state, national and international events.
