Audiologist Job Description
Overview
Audiologists specialize in treating hearing related disorders. They are experts in the prevention, diagnosis and evidence-based treatment of hearing and balance disorders for people of all ages using various instruments and techniques to measure hearing loss and determine its cause. They examine and assess patients, diagnose/treat hearing and balance disorders,determine and administer the treatment, counsel patients in dealing with their hearing difficulties , help them with appropriate alternate forms of communication at times employing the use of hearing aids and monitor the progress of patients while maintaining records for the same.
