CAD Drafter Job Description
Overview
A Cad Drafter is responsible for creating detailed drawings and 3D models of products, components, and structures. They use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create blueprints from sketches or existing data that can be used in the production process. Cad Drafters must have a thorough understanding of drafting techniques, engineering principles, mathematics, and CAD software. Their job duties also include collaborating with engineers to ensure accuracy; preparing diagrams for presentations; making modifications as needed; and verifying dimensions on completed projects.
