Construction Inspector Job Description
Overview
A Construction Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. They inspect various aspects of a project such as the materials used, safety measures taken, and overall quality of workmanship. Inspectors will review plans and drawings to ensure accuracy and make sure that contractors are following approved procedures. They also conduct on-site inspections to verify that construction meets code requirements. In addition to inspecting the site itself, they may also monitor workers’ activities for potential health or safety risks.
