Foreign Language Teacher Job Description
Overview
A foreign language teacher is responsible for teaching students a foreign language by providing instruction in grammar, pronunciation, conversation and cultural aspects of the language. This can include developing lesson plans and materials to help students learn the language, assessing student progress and providing feedback on their work. They must also be able to adjust their teaching style to different levels of proficiency among students. Foreign language teachers are often expected to have knowledge about the culture associated with the languages they teach as well as other areas such as linguistics or literature.
