Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description
Overview
The Heavy Equipment Operator handles mechanical tools such as cranes, as well as non-motorized tools. Their role is operating motorized, heavy equipment to ensure accurate removal and assignment of materials, loading and offloading rocks, debris and other materials from heavy equipment, and observing stipulated safety codes at all times. Their responsibilities are communicating with co-workers to make clear project specifications, reporting injuries and other accidents to the line manager, advising the line manager of requisite upgrades, repairs and replacements, aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and structured at the end of each shift, and providing suggestions to refine w...
