Information Technology Support Job Description
Overview
An information technology support job role involves providing technical support to users of an organization’s information technology systems. This could include setting up new computers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving network problems, helping users with their IT-related queries and requests, installing security updates and antivirus programs, monitoring system performance and maintaining records of IT activity. The role may also involve training staff in the use of IT systems as well as liaising with external suppliers for additional support when needed.
