Loan Officer Job Description
Overview
The Loan Officer permits the approval of business, real estate or credit loans. Their role is updating account records and reviewing loan files. Their responsibilities are to meet with loan applicants to identify their needs, collect information for loan applications, analyze active loan files, recommend solutions to speed up the loan process, teach clients on policies and regulations, interview applicants to define financial eligibility, establish debt payment plans, update account records, submit loan applications, prepare detailed loan proposals, answer applicant questions and resolve any loan-related issues, and operate in compliance with laws and regulations.
