Mail Carrier Job Description
Overview
The Mail Carrier delivers various types of letters, certified mail, parcels and packages to home and business owners either on foot or via mail truck. Their role is to collect and deliver the mail, and obtain signatures of their customers when needed. Their responsibilities are to answer customer questions regarding the postal service and regulation, sell products like stamps and money orders, collect money for the postage due, arrange the mail in the delivery sequence, and inform people when mail can't be delivered.
