Medical Transcriptionist Job Description
Overview
A Medical Transcriptionists converts audio recordings into written reports. Their role is to interpret and record dictated information, perform editing on drafts, and submit completed transcripts for approval by physicians. Their responsibilities are listening to the recorded dictation of physicians and other healthcare professionals, editing and correcting medical dictation, converting transcribed diagnostic test results, procedures and consultation notes, typing out full forms of medical abbreviations, identifying and following up on inconsistencies, errors and missing information in a transcribed report, submitting transcriptions to healthcare professionals on time, entering medical repor...
