Petroleum Engineer Job Description
Overview
Petroleum engineers design and develop methods for extracting oil and gas from below the earth and sea. Their responsibilities include field evaluation, planning and construction of well and boreholes, analyzing geological locations, supervising extraction sites or oil fields, recording information and preparing detailed reports. They also coordinate with clients and site workers to oversee extraction.
