Psychiatrist Job Description
Overview
The Psychiatrist determines, diagnoses, and provides treatment for mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. Their role is to perform psychiatric evaluations, create treatment plans, provide medication, and review treatment results. Their responsibilities are to research medical issues and new medical treatments, advise patients on how to cope with mental diseases and emotional breakdowns, coordinate with healthcare professionals when hospitalization is required, analyze medical tests, and identify mental disorders and determine best treatments.
