Software design engineers apply the principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of computer software. A software design engineer is responsible for looking at existing processes and then working to design or refine the software to increase the efficiency level for users, enhance the existing software, fix defects and bugs, prepare documents, demonstrate the software to clients and users, gather requirement from clients, analyze and troubleshoot the issues, and evolve the software with new technologies.
