Food Scientist Job Description
Overview
A Food Scientists studies the bacteriological physical and chemical properties of food and ingredients to make sure they are safe for customers. Their role is to apply precise and proficient scientific principles to food products in order to calculate the nutritional value, color, flavor and quality of the food. Their responsibilities are to test food samples, ensure food manufacturing processes, produce new food products, improve food quality and packings, contact with related parties regarding food quality and safety concerns, develop new products, and update product information.
