Maintenance Director Job Description
Overview
A Maintenance Director sets the maintenance department goals, processes or procedures to accomplish a company's objectives. Their role is to make sure all health and safety policies are followed, and create a protective maintenance system and procedures to keep the day-to-day processes running smoothly. Their responsibilities are to oversee, motivate and analyze maintenance supervisors including management of training and certified development, design, implement and modify preventive maintenance programs, direct maintenance operations by identifying requirements, forecast resources for maintenance needs, and provide oversight to maintenance procedures.
