Their role is to assist with the annual planning process, provide oversight on corporate initiatives, and identify new opportunities related to acquisitions, alliances and mergers. Their responsibilities are to suggest strategic business development initiatives and priorities, prepare the company’s growth strategies, collaborate with senior business executives to facilitate the strategic development process, define and evaluate new business development opportunities, and facilitate implementation mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
