Field Superintendent Job Description
Overview
A Field Superintendent works in a supervisory position within the construction industry. Their role is to manage a project's day to day progress, and direct subcontractors and employees to complete a project following the contracted plans or blueprints. Their responsibilities are to review the project layout to ensure walls and other objects are located correctly, coordinate material deliveries and budgets, maintain the safety of the site, resolve disputes between subcontractors, and work closely with the project manager and design professionals by advising them of progress or problems.
