Manager Job Description
Overview
The Manager achieves department objectives by managing staff, and planning and evaluating department activities. Their role is to develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards, and establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service and operations information. Their responsibilities are to maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, communicate job expectations, plan, monitor and appraise job results, coach, counsel and discipline employees, identify and evaluate trends and options, prepare an annual budget, and maintain service standards by enforcing quality and customer service.
