Pump Operator Job Description
Overview
A Pump Operator works with stationary or portable pumps. Their role is to transfer liquids, gases and powdered materials in and out of vessels. Their responsibilities are to perform inspections and maintenance on various machinery, troubleshoot issues with systems and processes, tend, control or operate power-driven, stationary or portable pumps and manifold systems, and transfer gases, oil, other liquids, slurries or powdered materials to and from various vessels.
