A Strategist sets and determines goals for a company. Their role is working with staff to help them in understanding what the goals are and how they can be achieved through specific actions. Their responsibilities are researching and gathering data to develop strategic plans for clients, producing cohesive and intelligent plans to bring success to campaigns, examining the client's businesses to understand their brands and objectives, generating original ideas with other members of the team, liaising with senior members of staff and clients to receive feedback and create improvements to strategies, and identifying potential problems and ways to rectify them.
