Architectural Drafter Job Description
Overview
An architectural drafter is responsible for creating detailed drawings of building structures, according to the specifications provided by an architect. The drafter must accurately interpret and apply the design elements that are presented in a set of plans or sketches. They will use various software programs to create schematics, diagrams, and other drawings that represent the structure of a building. This includes floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and electrical/mechanical systems diagrams.
