Environmental Health and Safety Manager Job Description
Overview
An Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for creating, implementing, and enforcing policies that protect employees from risks associated with hazardous materials, unsafe working conditions, or other health-related issues. They are also responsible for training staff on safety protocols, conducting risk assessments in the workplace to identify potential hazards, inspecting equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, monitoring employee health and safety records/reports; investigating accidents/incidents; developing emergency response plans; maintaining OSHA logs; managing hazardous waste disposal programs; preparing environmental reports as required...
