Content Developer Job Description
Overview
Content developers create, gather, organize and edit the content for websites, newsletters, press releases, blogs, articles and advertising, legal and marketing materials. A content developer is also responsible for managing content on social media and developing unique content and ideas which engage readers. They work with different types of content which may consist of text, graphics, pictures, audio, movies, or other sources of media.

- Take classes or earn a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field. A background in digital marketing, content creation, or media studies can be particularly beneficial especially if you want to grow your career within the field or work for a larger company.

Content roles are responsible for creating and overseeing content, so having excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential. Familiarize yourself with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla, as well as other tools and software used for content creation, scheduling, and analytics.
